About Janice: I studied massage therapy at Pacific College of Health Sciences where the curriculum included traditional Chinese medical theory, East Asian massage and related therapies along with anatomy, physiology and western massage techniques. I later pursued additional training in Shiatsu and Reiki at Zen Shiatsu in Evanston. My years of working in chiropractic offices and health clubs have made me comfortable performing deep tissue and sports massage, but I never leave out the essential energy work that helps make a massage both relaxing and therapeutic. Too often, our stress lives in our bodies and in our skin, making us look and feel dull, lifeless, and tired. By entering deep relaxation, or the parasympathetic state, we can allow our body to do what it does best, heal itself. I’m thrilled to be partnering with the talented team at Apothecary EO and look forward to helping guests refresh and recharge in a comfortable and convenient spa setting.
